Support our Daffodil Fundraising Campaign

Daffodil Campaign

The daffodil symbolizes a powerful and personal meaning; hopefulness in the fight against cancer. We have been active in supporting the daffodil campaign for a few years now by supplying potted daffodils, for your purchase, in support of the Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital cancer unit.

Each year this campaign has grown from selling 60 pots in the first year to selling over 400 pots last year. Thank you to all who have supported this fundraising campaign. We hope to continue to grow, year after year.

Daffodils are $15 each.

Order at the link provided, starting March 1st, for pick up starting April 1st.

The Shamrock: A symbol of Luck and Irish Heritage

Shamrock plant

As St. Patrick’s Day approaches, the Shamrock takes center stage in decorations, celebrations and traditions. But what makes this little green plant so special? A bit of history; The Shamrock has been a symbol of Ireland for centuries. Legend has it, St. Patrick used the three-leafed plant to explain the concept of the Holy Trinity (Father, Son and the Holy Spirit) to the people of Ireland. Over time, it became associated with good luck, prosperity and national pride.

We will have fresh Shamrocks in stock this month! Whether you want to decorate for St. Patrick’s Day or carry a bit of Irish tradition with you, be sure to grab yours while supplies last. “The luck of the Irish to ya!”
