Rustic Forest – Alan and Krista

Setting: Temple’s Sugar Bush, Lanark; February 27, 2016
Description: Rustic Forest

Love came naturally for Alan and Krista. That old saying of when you know, you know became relevant almost immediately for the pair and they decided early on that they would put down roots together near Alan’s hometown of Perth. A stone’s throw from the couple’s home, nestled into a glistening maple forest, there was no more perfect setting for winter nuptials than Temple’s Sugar Bush.  Here inside the majestic timber frame architecture, loved ones gather in front of a traditional hearth, the mantle adorned with wintry greens, magnolia leaves, natural twigs, pine cones, and cream tones of lisianthius, astilbe, mums, roses and jasmine. The design is unlike anything else that’s been seen at Temple’s before. Long, low centerpieces and clusters of elegant gold vases filled with white tulips, twigs and cedar carry the woodland décor throughout the building and lush spruce boughs form a garland overheard. Hearts are warm and the room is cozy as the Groom and guests await the Bride’s arrival. Krista enters carrying a hand-tied bouquet featuring a dreamy collection of grey roses and off-white tones of lisianthius, astilbe, tulips and jasmine. Pinecones, stiletto pods, magnolia leaves, cedar and eucalyptus have been carefully incorporated to create the natural, forest-picked feel that was envisioned for the day.

This movie offers a look inside some of Perth’s finest establishments. They say, “it’s the most beautiful town in Ontario.” While it seems so, know that its people are bursting with personality. They are creative and they are happy by all accounts.
