Roses; Beautiful and Timeless

Have you ever wondered why the rose is such a popular Valentine’s Day flower? As it turns out, there are many reasons why the rose is a popular choice come February 14th.

Our favorite reason dates back to the Victorian era when flowers were used to send messages to love interests; a form of communication called, floriography. Roses symbolize love all on their own, however, the colour you choose communicates different meanings. Of course, we all know red roses represent passion. Take a look at what other colours represent; pink stands for appreciation and grace, yellow conveys friendship and happiness, and white implies innocence. Whatever you’re trying to communicate this Valentine’s Day, the rose remains the most timeless choice.
